There are many ways to download/save videos from YouTube...
Some of them are listed below:
1. Download by using YouTube links...
-First of all play any video using any browser and copy that YouTube link.
-Now by posting that link on 3rd party websites, you can easily download that video in any format that you want.
-Such some 3rd party websites are provided below:

2. Download by using ClipGrab app...
-By downloading and installing ClipGrab application you can easily download any video.
-To download ClipGrab, Go to http://clipgrab.org/ where you can download ClipGrab for Windows, Mac & Linux just by a single click.
3. Save any video by using VLC media player...
-If you don't have VLC media player, first of all download from here http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html
-Install VLC then open VLC
-First go to the View section and Check the option Advanced Controls to enable the Recording Feature, as in the picture
-Now press Ctrl+N to open Network Open Media and paste any YouTube video link to that and click Play...
-When it started playing click on the Recording at the left bottom corner to record the video...
